Needs Assessment
A community needs assessment identifies the major needs in a community as well as the strengths and resources available to meet those needs. Since most nonprofits have limited resources, conducting a community needs assessment can help determine where and how to best target those resources. It’s the starting point to ensure your organization is effectively serving your community and can advocate for improvements. This data can inform strategic planning, assist in priority setting, and help improve existing programs. Additionally, your organization can use the data you gather to support requests for funding from potential grant partners.

How I Can Help
I’ve helped walk organizations big and small through this invaluable process and the results are always the same — they discover more efficient ways to accomplish their mission; build new partnerships; increase confidence in their work; and raise more money for their programs. I’ll help you get a clear focus on the most important work you can be doing for the community you serve, making those donor dollars go even further. And since needs assessments need to be done periodically, I’ll still be helping you after our work together ends. Just follow my lead and you’ll be able to replicate my work in the future to ensure you are meeting your community’s most important needs.
Bottom line: When we’re done, not only will you be ready to implement the results of your assessment, but you’ll also have the knowledge and confidence to keep this work going!
